Canon will be back on campus May 9th. The guest speaker this year is David Hume Kennerly. He will be speaking in the Giles T. Brown Forum 4-6pm. Also, Canon will be offering free workshops and equipment demonstrations in Art Center from 10am - 2pm. For more info on David Hume Kennerly check out his web site http://www.kennerly.com/

Join us at our second annual Photo Swap Meet. There will be all kinds of used photography equipment for sale including cameras, lenses, accsessories, enlargers, darkroom supplies, bags, books, vintage, and even some new stuff. Everything is priced to sell. The funds we raise will go into the OCC Photo Foundation which funds many of our Scholarships and supports the Photography program at Orange Coast College.

Photography 101- Photography and Society (3)

A lecture and discussion class which considers the total photographic visual environment of contemporary life. Magazines, news, art, advertising, snapshots, family albums, political posters, billboards, postcards, fashion, etc. These types of photography will be analyzed to understand their function in contemporary society and to determine how society, in turn, determines our visual environment. Fulfills '100' elective course requirement for photography majors. May be taken for grades or on a credit-no credit basis. Three hours. Transfer Credit: CSU.

As part of Canon's "Explorers of Light" series, Michael Grecco will be lecturing in Fine Arts 119 from 2 - 4pm. Also, Canon will be demonstrating their latest equipment in Art Center 208 from 10am - 1pm. Canon Representatives will be available to answer your questions starting at 9am in Art Center 205.
